Hellfire Kennel is situated on a scenic ranch in south- western Montana with challenging varying terrains that include wide open high prairie meadows, rolling foothills with canyons and coulies, and an established douglas fir forest. Our backyard wildlife is abundant and includes everything from bountiful herds of elk, antelope and mule deer, cottontail rabbits and snow shoe hares, to hungarian partridge and two species of mountain grouse.
Hellfire is a registered kennel name with the AKC, and we are an accomplished and experienced field performance breeder. In addition to the countless hours we spend with our dogs, we put almost as much time, research and thought planning our breedings. Our breeding philosophy has always and will always center around strong, talented, well bred dogs and bitches with outstanding pedigrees. We linebreed on great dogs, outcrossing when necessary while always seeking genetic soundness through health test screening.
Although our emphasis is on producing worldclass gun dogs and biddable, easy to train companions, Hellfire puppies have earned both American and Canadian field championships, many hunt test titles, as well as performance titles in agility and obedience.

Our Hellfire breeding foundation began with a strong, very sound, and very beautiful bitch with an incredible pedigree going back to 2X NAFC NFC CNFC Saighton's Scud more than ten times. Since then we have been very fortunate as the gun dogs we enjoy shooting over have also produced some very talented field trial dogs including FC AFC CFC Hellfire's Fast Track MH MX AXJ CD VS (the 2005 National Open Gun's Award Winner) and many hunt test competitors, agility, obedience and even youth 4-H participants. Through our puppies new kennels have blossomed, many titles have been earned, and perhaps the most rewarding aspect is watching our first timer "newbie" handlers get excited about field performance sports.
